I have some amazing news to share with you:
I made it into the awesome Heffy Doodle Stamps Design Team 2017/18 !!!!!!
How amazing is that, right? I´m still over the moon and I´m feeling so honored that I was selected to work together with all these amazingly talented ladies!!! wooooot woooot!!!! You can find out more about the Team if you click on the picture!!!
As today is the official World Cardmaking Day Heffy Doodle provides not one but two special designed free digi stamp that you can download on the Heffy Doodle Blog. One of them has an american mailbox on it and the other one a british version, but both are just adorable ans supercute!!!!
I chose the british free digi stamp as it is closer to the german mailboxes, than the american one.
So here is my take on it:
I started by printing out the image on some shimmery white cardstock and colored it using watercolors really carefully so I won´t smudge the black printer ink. It was a challenge, trust me :) Thank god for hairspray to fix the image at first lol
You might wonder why my mailbox is yellow instead of the british red??? As I live in Germany I chose that my bear will have a german yellow mailbox.
I picked a notecard as a base and diecut a stitched rectangle out of flirty flamingo cardstock to matt under the colored image. On both sides I added a piece of light blue ribbon for a nice touch.
To add a little bling I gave my cute little bear a necklace out of rhinestones and also put a rhinestone in every corner of the image.
Last but not least I added the sentiment "Happy World Cardmaking Day" to the card and popped it up on foam dots. Where did I got that sentiment from you might ask??? Guess what???? You get it free with the digi download!!! How cool is that!!! Extra Win, I would say!!! I just cut it out including that lovely little globe that comes with it. Fits perfectly for today, don´t you think??? BUt of course you can use that awesome free Digi stamp for all kind of other cards.
