I love fairytales!

Hello and thank you for stopping by!
Since I can remember I'm a huge fan of fairy tales. Today I'm invited to a fairytale crime dinner. what is a crime dinner you ask? A crime dinner is like a normal dinner but with everyone having a role. Before or during the dinner a crime is happening like for instance someone is murdered.  Every guest of  the crime dinner has a role and one of them is the murderer. Through many rounds during the evening everyone gets a little hints and so we all try together to find out who is the murderer.
At our crime dinner tonight the victims of the murder are the Seven Dwarfs.
This dinner tonight is also a birthday party and as my friend is going to have the role of the Evil Queen from Snow White I made her this card. The stamp "Looking Glass" is from Lily of the Valley and I think it's so fitting. I colored it with distress inks and the new SU Blendabilities for the skin color. The mirror got a few drops of glossy accents. The Happy Birthday sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley from the gorgeous set Simply Sophisticated
The background paper is from SEI and the color of the cardstock is the new SU in color Blackberry bliss.
I also stamped and punched flowers in that color using the Petite Petals stampset and petite flower punch. In the middle of the flowers I placed a pearl with liquid pearls in the color Lavender Lace.
The opening in the middle was made using the scalloped tag punch from Stampin Up! . As last step I added some punched butterflies in Blackberry Bliss.

I also used this punch to make a fitting giftbox for my friend's present to go with the card.
I'm very pleased how both of them turned out.
What do you think?
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Stamping

I would like to enter this card into the Monthly Challenge from LOTV with the theme take two!!

Morning Meadow madness!!!

Hello and Thank you for stopping by!!! I was very pleased about all the positive reactions after my first post and the new design of my Blog!!! Thank you everyone!!
This past weekend I was looking for inspiration and found this awesome card on Pinterest using the Stampin Up stampset Morning meadow.
This card inspired me so very much that I made my own version of it.
I used a different matching stamp for the pansies that is also in the Morning Meadow set and fits the pansy-punch from Stampin Up. I stamped the flowers on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I curled the leafes of the flower with my bonefolder to give them a more realistic effect and added some bling in the middle to make them more elegant :)
I used my distressinks and the Inkssentials blending tool from Ranger for adding the color over the white embossed branches.
I also dryembossed the paper with some scorelines to give it a little frame :)
The sentiment I added is also from Stampin Up from the set Simply Sketched.

One card of that kind wasn´t enough for me (and here begins the madness) and so I made a few in different colors :

The other sentiment stamps I used are from LOTV´s Simply Sophisticated
My wonderful creative friend Cindy gave me the advice/idea to make some in multi-colors and so I did an I really like how they turned out :)

Please let me know what you think and which one is your favourite. I hope you will have a fantastic weekend!!
HAPPY CRAFTING!!!!

Happy New 2014

Hello and thank you for stopping by!!! First of all I want to wish all of you a wonderful and successful  Year 2014!!! I know I have neglected my blog very very much in the past year, but I can't change the past and so I will just try to be a better blogger this year. I won't promise blogging on a regular basis but I have a few cards that I made that I would love to share with you.

So here is the card I want to start my new Bloggingyear with:

The image on the card is from the new actual Launch of LOTV and is called James-Butterflies. I colored him with my Ranger Distressinks and cut him out with the Labels 2 Die from Crafts-Too and embossed him too with my Cuttlebug.

The backgroundpaper I used on the card was made by using my new Hexagon-punch from Stampin Up that I got for Christmas from my amazingly talented and generous friend Annette! I used paper from the Linen Closet stack from DCWV and punched out the hexagons. I inked the edges of all the hexagons with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give it a more finished look. I glued them down randomly on a piece of cardstock and inked the edges with the same vintage photo Distressink from Ranger. Then I used a brown marker to draw all the sewing-lines arround the hexagons.
Cut the paper in 3 pieces and added a few nice embellishments such as metalic brads, brown ribbon  and a vintage wood-button I got from a friend once.
To finish the card I used a sentiment from the LOTV Everyday Grungy Messages set.

Please let me know what you all think! As today is National Hugging Day I send you all lots and lots of hugs :)
Have a blessed day and HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Maria :)
